Explore the beautiful murals of downtown Durham by bicycle with this special tour co-organized by Preservation Durham, the Museum of Durham History, the Nasher Museum, and the Durham Public Art Committee. Approximately 13 murals will be featured, plus the FENCE Durham 2018. Experienced cyclists will guide each tour, which last about 90-minutes and are approx. 5 miles in length. The tour will depart from the Durham Central Park pavilion. Please check in 15 minutes early. Helmets required. Free and open to the public. Tours are designed for anyone with a bicycle and comfortable riding on city streets. An interactive map of the tour is available via Mural Durham. The tour will end at The FENCE (at 102 W. Parrish St.) where Public Art Committee docents will be standing by lead walking tours of the world-class outdoor photography exhibit. Then stay for the opening reception next door at the Parish Street Forum of the Kids' Community Show.
